Creative and Performing Arts
Students at New Lambton Public School are involved in a dynamic Creative Arts curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In Visual Arts, students develop knowledge, skills and understanding in viewing and making artworks. They investigate different subject mater such as people, objects and places; use a variety of expressive forms such as painting, drawing and sculpture; and learn to consider the audience of their art work.
NLPS has a well-equipped Visual Arts Room where students in Years 2 to 6 come for their art lessons. In 2013, the Visual Arts Room was updated thanks to the school P & C Association. Students in Kindergarten and Year 1 have a specialised art area within their grade halls.
